(OTCQB:WKHS) Exemption No. 13564 (Regulatory Docket No. FAA-2015-3055) following the company's petition requesting Section 333 exemption to test its HorseFly™ unmanned aerial system (UAS). It is anticipated that the use of UAS could result in significant economic benefits, and the FAA Administrator has identified this as a high priority project to address demand for civil operation of UAS for commercial purposes...."

The HorseFly™ UAV Delivery system is a custom built, high efficiency octocopter-based delivery UAV that is fully integrated with our line of electric/hybrid delivery trucks. The HorseFly system is designed to conform to the FAA guidelines for UAV operation in the U.S. Most notably, being fully integrated with delivery trucks, the system is designed such that a driver or driver’s assistant can maintain line-of-sight operation of the UAV delivery process.

HorseFly™ Driver Delivery Software

UAV Safety

The HorseFly™ UAV is unique in its use of a human monitor during the final package drop-off stage of delivery. When the UAV is in position above the destination, a remote observer is sent a video feed, which can be used to assess the safe completion of the delivery and make any small adjustments to the UAV position during drop-off, if needed. By monitoring this crucial stage of the process, we can deliver a more flexible and trusted delivery than full-automation alone. Using this method, a single remote observer can efficiently monitor a fleet of many UAVs at once, since observation is only needed during the final descent and not during normal flight operations.
